Beware the messenger who obfuscates the message…

I’m going to open myself up to a lot of hate comments here.

Its no secret that the divisions across the political divide here in the USA have become a huge chasm, with those in the middle often looking up at the extremes lobbing misinformation bombs around like Russia and Ukraine.

But over the last couple months, interest and knowledge has grown significantly of the Project 2025 document published by the Heritage Foundation, authored and driven by 29 former staff individuals of Former President Trump’s administration. You can find this document in the link I included, or surf over to https://www.project2025.org/ and download for yourself. The 920 page document can easily be found online (I downloaded it myself, for fear of it becoming hidden behind a secure wall accessible by only the faithful), and I encourage people to go and at least see that it’s a real thing.

For a quick introduction to what is in the document, and this is a very quick and brief intro — go to this Substack link and read the article. So much here revolves around what I have found to be disturbing about corporate media’s lack of motivation in discussing and revealing key policy points everyone should learn about from this and Agenda 47.

Now, not just the document is available, but ProPublica has done their own sleuthing — finding 23 separate “training” videos encompasing 14 hours of screen time with many of the former staffers providing training encompassing many of the talking points of the Far Right — wokeism, abortion and body autonomy (and men, this also affects you), tax reform that grossly favors the ultra rich, abolishing any environmental departments (NOAA, EPA, etc), turning the DOJ explicitly into a weapon in the hands of the President, voting rights… It’s a plan to explicitly replace the equal balance of the three branches of government with one that explicitly puts more power into the hands of the President, allowing them to use Executive Orders and make them Law without needing Congress to approve. And they make no secret about this at all.

Responses will no doubt state that Trump has denied any involvement in this document or the plans, but there are clandestine videos taken of interview/meetings with Russ Vought (the head author and architect of this plan) who explicitly stated that the plan has been “blessed” by DJT and this will be effected through Executive Order in the first 180 days of a 2nd Trump Ascendency. The videos are all over the web and I’m including links to both left and right leaning sites to show that it isn’t AI or fake news — here’s the article from Forbes, here’s the report from the UK’s Center for Climate Reporting.

Now, there’s a lot of reporting on corporate media, podcasts, left and right leaning publications highlighting Trump’s apparent decline in mental faculty. Also explicitly pointing out the conflicting and remarkably plastic personal beliefs of J.D. Vance.

While there’s some distinct truth to the mental decline, I think it’s also a smoke screen intended to obfuscate the harder policy truths that will be implemented. There’s a lot of bullshit in his speeches — grievances, bigotry and racism, pandering through false equivalencies (Trump has never gone grocery shopping, ever — give me a fucking break, why does he care about a 26% increase in Cheerios?), a whole series of lies regarding the state of the economy both today and 4 years ago, inflation…

Joseph Goebbels is famous for saying the following:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Donald J Trump is using this and building his own truth. J.D. Vance is learning from the master bullshitter how to do this, but is tied even more deeply to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 having contributed the forward to Kevin Roberts’ now delayed new book that gives more detail on how these changes will be implemented. The publication and release is being delayed until *after the Election* as the group realized that the attention being drawn to Project 2025 has risked upsetting the plan.

DJT rambles, brays and defecates lies regarding the extent of inflation and the state of the economy under the Biden administration, ignoring that most of the cause for the inflation was due to the influx of cash in pandemic relief ($3.4T from Trump’s time, $2T from Biden) and supply chain challenges resulting in shortages caused by the pandemic through interruptions in manufacturing and shipping.

Of course, the loyal crowd has a very short memory. 4 years ago while Trump was the Commander in Chief in August 2020, New York City was loading bodies into refrigerated rail cars and shipping containers as morgues and funeral homes ran out of capacity. Weekly death tolls had dropped to 7,248 in the USA, from peaks of 17,201 in April 2020, and the overall highest peak of 25,974 weekly deaths Jan 9, 2021. There was a huge crash on the Dow and NASDAQ in March 2020 resulting in a 34% loss of value, along with slews of layoffs that negated all of the job gains the previous three years and took the unemployment rate up to 14%:

On 8 May, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a U-3 unemployment (official unemployment) figure of 14.7%, the highest level recorded since 1941, with U-6 unemployment (total unemployed plus marginally attached and part-time underemployed workers) reaching 22.8%.

This was under the Trump Administration folks. Dont believe his bullshit — he will keep repeating it until it becomes accepted as fact by you. The USA was actually showing signs of entering recession already in 2019, with hiring leveling off and very limited job creation mostly in the service and farm payrolls.

Now, to be fair, the stock markets rebounded to January levels by August 2020, but stayed level until mid 2021 when the stimulus payments showed a huge increase in demand not being met by supply, and driving prices up. That factor, in combination with the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the embargo of Russian oil & natural gas worldwide (the EU being a huge consumer of it) drove the market prices of oil up to 2005 levels.

Remember 2005? That was the last time gas prices hit $4.20 / gal.

Oh, of course — “drill, baby drill!”

The US is producing more oil and natural gas today than at any time in history. In fact, since 2023 the US is selling the 2% excess production off to other countries — the first time that started happening in our history. We dont need to “drill, baby drill” — there are actually plenty of oil leases in the hands of the petroleum companies that haven’t been developed yet — being delayed to ensure that oil prices remain at the $80/barrel level and not drop due to excess production.

Presidents have a limited impact on economies — tariffs are one way, but it affects the consumers not the suppliers. But the tariffs of 2018 did influence the downturn in 2019, and Trump’s failure to implement quarantine and emergency procedures in December 2019 really exacerbated the COVID impacts.

His continuing failure to recognize and act on this, for fear of losing the election in the fall, just made things worse.

Today DJT is insisting most of the fault for the economy and the tepid recovery for the working and middle class is the fault of the Biden administration. But facts are facts — maybe the Biden stimulus in March 2021 wasn’t needed, as Larry Summers warned of overstimulation and big inflation. But people were hurting in Q1'21 and something needed to be done.

Fact check every claim, every statement made by every candidate in this election. Look at policy, and parse through the statements to find the disconnect between what they say openly and what is insinuated between the lines. Call bullshit on the false and exaggerations, hold the candidates’ feet to the fire and demand straight answers.

It is no mystery why so many moderate Republicans are choosing to go completely against the grain and support Harris. Its not because Harris has policy ideas and plans that are necessarily better than Trump.

Harris is gaining support from the independents and moderate Republicans because the policies in Project 2025 and Agenda 47 are just so completely fucked up and scary. And the people who wrote these up are even scarier, meaning there’s a lot more there that hasn’t been published yet.

Read and review Project 2025 and Agenda 47. Go watch the videos published on YouTube, listen to the moderates and centrists as you’ll get the most non-partisan information from them. Become informed and drop the woke and Alpha Male terminology as they are triggers for extremists. Understand what you will be voting for, and engage in civil, respectful conversation to discover what specific policy issues you each have disagreements on, but more importantly what policies do you agree on.
