The allies of Trump right now are vetting people who are willing to pledge their loyalty to the guy and execute on the plan to push the Executive Office as the main power and reduce the House and Senate to rubber stamp entities. Now Orange Guy isn't very bright - telegraphing his intentions to take retribution against his political and legal enemies 12-18 months before the elections. But if there's anyone dumber than TFG then it's his horde of zombie MAGAites who cant understand that he's not talking to them or about them at his rallies - he's addressing the Waltons, Peter Thiel, the Koch family, etc... and they're the oblivious mob cheering every word they dont understand.

He came very close to having his own private army in The Proud Boys and other paramilitary poseurs wanting a Christian White rule not caring about the morality of the person leading the charge. Every president has the potential to become a power mad leader, but the Constitution ensures that the House and the Senate, as well as the Courts keep that in check. Stack the courts with like minded people (which, brilliantly, the GOP have been doing for the past 35-40 years) and then abolish the protections of the Constitution, and you have your Fascist state gift wrapped for you.
